This page explains what data The Offbeat Map receives from visitors, what it does with that data and how you can exercise your rights.

What the site collects today

The Offbeat Map has no sign-up, no login and no forms. You can read everything without giving a name, an email address or any other personal data.

Like any website, it runs on a server. Hosting is provided by Vercel, which logs technical data for each visit, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. Those logs keep the site running and protected from abuse, and they are covered by Vercel’s own privacy policy.

Article photos come from Unsplash, but they pass through our server before reaching you. Your browser does not connect to Unsplash when you open the site. Fonts are served by the site itself too.

The site does not use cookies today.

Ads and third-party cookies

The site may show Google AdSense ads. When it does, the following applies:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
